Led by Ruslan and Ekaterina (Katusha) Wilder, Imperial brings professional Ballroom and Latin instruction to adults and young dancers in Manhattan and Northern New Jersey. Your goals shape the experience: learning to dance socially, preparing a wedding first dance, performing in a showcase, or developing a competitive Pro-Am partnership.
Our approach
Good instruction makes the next step clear. We build technique, musicality, and partnership through focused coaching and regular practice, with feedback suited to your experience and ambitions.
For competitive students, that means a considered training plan, choreography, rehearsal, and guidance in choosing an appropriate event. For new dancers, it begins with a welcoming first lesson and achievable goals.

Find your place on the floor
Explore private lessons, Adult group classes, and Kids ages 4–6 and Youth ages 7–13. A trial lesson must be booked before joining any group class.
Kids and Youth taking private lessons consistently receive complimentary group classes. Adults taking private lessons consistently each week receive the same benefit.
Private Instruction/Lesson
Focused coaching for your goals, from first steps to performance preparation. Build technique, musicality, and confidence through an individual training plan.
Wedding Dance Instruction
Choreography shaped around your song, experience, and celebration. Prepare a first dance that feels natural and personal, with time to rehearse the entrance, movement, and finish.
Private/Custom Group Classes
Learn the foundations of partner dancing in a welcoming group. Explore scheduled Adult classes or ask about a private group for friends or colleagues.

Social Dance Parties/Milonga/Showcases
Put your learning into practice and share your progress. Ask about upcoming social dance opportunities and showcase preparation, including music selection, choreography, and rehearsals.
